Karen Von Benschoten, http://outloudkaren.wordpress.com, reports while working at Mobil Mart and heavily medicated with a benzodiazepine, she had a customer come to the counter and lay their Twinkies on it. She promptly picked them up, opened them, then proceeded to eat them. Needless to say, she was sent home for the rest of the day but did not lose her job.
Jack and I ask whoever turned the fire hose on Seattle yesterday to not do that again. The winds and heavy rain resulted in a horizontal barrage.
The most surprising development is the demise of our neighbor’s uninvited guest, a big fat rat, at the hands of Benny. JJ attempted to haul a half dead rat into the house a few years ago, but Benny showed no interest. While chatting with the neighbor, Jack allowed Benny, on a long leash, to sniff around the yard and shrubbery. A sudden commotion stopped the chat. The commotion being Benny slaying the rat. Jack hustled back to our house for me and the camera to commemorate Benny the exterminator.
What’s your Does This Happen to You? moment this week?
i almost feel like i have had moments when i could have done the twinkie thing myself )
Just the thought of the “R” and I’m sweating! As for that Twinkie eating clerk…Rock on!
Rats don’t bother me that much, except when I almost step on a dead one. Then I do the “dead rat dance”.
