Gretchen appeared at bursting point, a sausage about to spill its juices. She hobbled into the kitchen tightly clutching a dog treat. I figured it to be the last of the stash she and Maggie broke into. I grabbed at it and tugged. We wrestled for it, but after all, she’s only 10 lbs so I won. She’s a tough little cookie. With Jack’s mother visiting we have opposite ends of the dog spectrum, two mini dachshunds and our blue heelers with two opposing views of food.
Benny
Born picky
Will always pass his lips – poop and yogurt
Never passes his lips – fruit, uncooked vegetables and natural dog treats
May pass lips upon sniff inspection – dog treats he doesn’t recognize
Born eating everything, spoiled into pickiness
Will always pass his lips – any dog treat and meat product
Never passes his lips – fruit and uncooked vegetables
Will always pass her lips – Any food product
Special delicacy – Live bees (we have no idea how she hasn’t been stung)
Will always pass her lips – any food product
Special credit – steals treats from JJ and Benny and stashes them
Do you have finicky pets?
Maggie is beyond the cutest ever!
She is a cutie and loves to play. Mostly with humans, JJ and Benny try to play with her but they’re just a little too rough.
Adorable! I have a very finicky pet one I just caught in the garbage! LOL!
Thanks! Was your garbage diver picking out just certain things? Benny picks out undesirable bits from his dish and lays on the floor next to his bowl. I’m sure he’d do the same with the garbage.
